Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB) is dedicated to bringing scholars from the natural and human sciences, engineers and artists together in research-based exhibitions, events and learning programmes. Our work is about building bridges between institutions, disciplines and countries through conversations between people. Ours is a dynamic work environment with quick turn-around time that involves thinking on your feet - way too often.

SGB is Asia’s first and India’s only university-linked gallery within the Science Gallery Network. We are building our first team and want to work with individuals who are passionate about learning in informal settings and committed to public engagement with science. If you are comfortable with thinking beyond science communication and looking to build a comprehensive programme of hands-on intellectual engagement to the highest standards, do consider how your interests and talent might enhance the Science Gallery project.

We are currently based out of our gallery space on Bellary Road, Sanjaynagar. We are looking for tremendously self-motivated people, who are able to work flexibly, to join our team: late-nights, holiday, and weekend work may be required. We offer competitive salaries.

Programme Associate

A Programme Associate is responsible for the development and execution of the exhibitions and public programmes of Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB). The SGB programmes include exhibition-seasons based on a theme and accompanied by a series of public events, learning programmes and publications; pop-up exhibitions of shorter durations; and a host of other public engagement programmes ranging from Food and Film Festivals to workshops, masterclasses, and lab visits.

Chief Operations Officer

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB) will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for Administration and Operations as set out by the Executive Director (ED) and the Board. The COO will ensure the seamless functioning of the organizations internal systems, processes, and structures to drive high-impact performance of the organization.

Design Associate (Graphics and Print)

This role focuses on print and physical outputs, including exhibition graphics, publications, and on-ground programme materials. The Design Associate will work closely with the Programmes, Communications, Editorial, and Exhibitions teams to ensure a cohesive and high-quality visual language across all outputs.

Production Associate

The Production Associate supports the planning, design, and execution of exhibitions at Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB), with a focus on spatial design, scenography, and on-ground production. This role involves working across exhibition builds—from concept development to installation—ensuring that ideas are translated into well-executed physical environments.

Head of Research
