2025 is the year of Quantum Science and Technology. In the last century, Quantum studies has led to rapid development in technology and helped us better understand the world around us. Despite that, there is much to learn about the inherent weirdness of the realm of quantum—as it describes the behaviour of particles at the smallest scales through paradoxes, probabilities and uncertainties.
For this exhibition-season, we seek applications from any country that are artistic or scientific inquiries, or both. We are looking to work with individuals or groups—preferably from across career and disciplinary backgrounds—who are critically exploring quantum research in its diverse forms in both the contemporary and historical contexts as well as those engaged with emerging frontiers of research.
Explorations of the theme that are executed as public engagement programmes are also welcome!
Shortlisted works and programmes will be up at the Science Gallery Bengaluru facility in Sanjaynagar. Find us on Google Maps here.
The term flash in fiction, essays, or poetry indicates a radically brief piece of writing, a powerful idea packed into a small space that releases energy like a small explosion in the short time it takes to read.
We present here Carbon Flash, a series that highlights the work of professionals that all share carbon as a throughline in their work.
Science Gallery Bengaluru’s Open Courseware is a set of freely accessible digital modules designed with publicly available content from our previous exhibitions and programmes.
True to the Science Gallery way, the modules of the courseware go beyond seminars and multiple choice questions. The interdisciplinary modules consist of films, field activities, art prompts and reflective exercises that develop critical thinking skills.
The Open Courseware modules are self-paced and non-evaluative, making it suitable for teachers and individual learners alike, and is now also available in Kannada.
