Editorial and Publications Associate
The Editorial and Publications Associate supports the creation, editing, and dissemination of organizational content across print and digital platforms. This role ensures accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of publications while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high editorial standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Editorial Support
Edit, proofread, and fact-check manuscripts, reports, newsletters, and digital content.
Ensure adherence to style guides, tone, and organizational branding.
Provide input on layout, design, and publication style
2. Content Development
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop engaging and accessible content
Draft articles, press releases, and web copy as needed
Support the creation of e-newsletters and social media content
3. Publication Management
Coordinate production schedules and workflows for print and digital publications
Liaise with designers, printers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain archives and databases of published materials
4. Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with communications, marketing, and program teams to align messaging
Track industry trends and news relevant to organizational focus areas
Support translation and accessibility needs for diverse audiences
Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
● 2–4 years of editorial, publishing, research, or communications experience.
● Strong writing, editing, research, and proofreading skills.
● Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing tools.
● Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
● Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
Preferred Attributes
● Passion for clarity, inclusivity, and accessibility in communications.
● Experience in managing multi-page packages or complex editorial projects.
● Knowledge of industry trends in publishing and digital media.
● Strong organizational skills and process-oriented thinking.
● Ability to read and write in Kannada would be an added advantage but not mandatory

Location Science Gallery Bengaluru, Bellary Road (next to IVRI)
Work Hours Wednesday to Sunday; we are a small team of an institution in the establishment phase and therefore looking for people who are able to work flexibly. Late-nights, holiday and weekend work may be required.
