Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB) is free and open to the public. We are a not-for-profit public institution that creates research-based engagement for young adults at the intersection of the natural and human sciences, engineering, art, and design. Our work is delivered through interdisciplinary exhibitions, mentorship opportunities, and informal learning programmes developed in collaboration with artists and scholars from diverse fields. Established with the founding support of the Government of Karnataka, SGB continues to rely on contributions from individuals and institutions to sustain its programmes and ensure free access for all visitors.

Training Workshops for Public Libraries across Karnataka

As part of our efforts to keep knowledge open and accessible for all, we are currently developing a programme with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RDPR), Government of Karnataka, to bring our exhibition-based learning resources to public libraries across the state. Through workshops in English and Kannada, library staff will be trained to use tools such as the Exhibition-in-a-Box, Activity Handbook, and Open-courseware to support informal science learning. With nearly 6,000 public libraries in Karnataka, this initiative has the potential to reach diverse rural and peri-urban communities. Your contribution will enable us to bring new ways of learning and discovery to these communities.
