About the Filmmaker

Frédéric Schuld is a writer and director. His award-winning animated documentaries Carlotta's Face and The Chimney Swift won multiple awards and qualified for the Oscars. He co-wrote and animated the documentary Lost in Face by Valentin Riedl, which won the German Documentary Award and the Audience Award at the Max Ophüls Prize and also qualified for the 2021 Documentary Oscar. He is currently developing his first animated feature film.
