At a time of global urgency for action on the climate crisis, can creativity, collaboration and experimentation help inspire a better future? Through Dr Ryan Jefferies, we learnt how Science Gallery Melbourne at the University of Melbourne has boldly begun a journey to promote social change. From First Nations people’s knowledge and culture, to urine batteries that charge your mobile phone, to 3D-printed edible insects. We also learnt how innovation, speculation and provocation by artists and scientists are fostering youth-led action to tackle climate change and promote greater sustainability in Australia and around the world.
