A climate crisis is imminent. We want you to tell us what matters and how best to document the changes around us in “Climate: Through Your Eyes.” Are you a young adult (ages 15-28)? Send us your interpretation of any one of five prompts: Migrate, Resilience, Fumes, Heat and Flood.
Science Gallery Bengaluru, the German Consulate, Consulate General of Switzerland, and Swissnex, are partnering on this to mark the EU Climate Diplomacy Week 2021 (September 27-October 17).
You may submit photographs, GIFs or short clips of up to 5 seconds. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to be mentored by the wildlife photographer and filmmaker Kalyan Varma.
Shortlisted entries will be showcased on social media by Science Gallery Bengaluru and our partners. Submit your work at the link in below.

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
You must be between 15 and 28 years of age to participate.
Submit your response by 11.59pm IST on 17 October 2021.
You can submit one response per prompt per person.
Your submission can be one to three photographs OR a very short clip of no more than five seconds OR a GIF.
The size of your file should be 5MB or less.
The photo/clip/GIF has to be made by the person making the submission.
Your submission should not have won or placed in other competitions, or have been published in an official capacity in other magazines, exhibitions, etc.
Your submission must have a text-based description/caption of between 50-150 words in any language along with translation in English.
You must have prior consent to use the photo/clip of the person/people you have photographed for this purpose. Any copyright violations or issues with permission will disqualify your entry.
By submitting photos/clips/GIFs of children you expressly agree that you have secured permission from the child’s parent or guardian.
Any conflicts/ issues/violations arising out of sharing of the photo will be the liability of the photographer and the subject. The organisers are not liable to any dispute arising out of the submission.
Photos/Clips/GIFs must not contain any nudity or any derogatory, racist commentary or visuals. Such entries will not be considered.
You retain all the rights to your work. By submitting your work, you will give Science Gallery Bengaluru the permission to use your submission on their social media channels, and your submission may also be used in Science Gallery Bengaluru’s upcoming exhibition-seasons.

Is there any fee to participate?
No.
Are there any qualifications required to participate?

Is there any particular format for the submission?
a).For each prompt you can submit any of the following
i. One to three still photographs
ii. One very short clip of no more than five seconds
iii. One GIF
b). The size of your file should be 5MB or less.
c).Both colored and black-and-white content is welcome.
Can the photograph/clip/GIF be submitted regardless of when it was taken?
a). The photograph/clip/GIF can have been made at any time.
b). The photograph/clip/GIF should not have won or placed in other competitions, or have been published in an official capacity in other magazines, exhibitions, etc.
What happens once I’ve submitted my response?
a). After the closing date, submissions will be reviewed by the mentor and the Science Gallery Bengaluru team.
b). Those whose submissions have been selected will be contacted in the week beginning 25 October 2021.
c). Selected submissions will be displayed by Science Gallery Bengaluru on their social media channels.
How will the submissions be shortlisted?
Submissions will be reviewed keeping in mind the following criteria:
a). Relevance to the theme “Climate”
b). Relevance to the selected prompt
c). How creative the submission is
When will the shortlist be available and how will I know?
Those whose submissions have been selected will be contacted via the submission platform in the week beginning 18 October 2021.
