Brewer's Buzz: On Kombucha Making
The workshop was for those intrigued by the world of fermentation but unsure about where to start. In this interactive session, brewers at Mountain Bee Kombucha helped to demystify the art and science of kombucha brewing. The session will cover everything from an introduction to the world to kombucha to understanding the symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY), and essential steps in brewing. This programme was organised as a part of Namma Oota 2024.
About the Brewer
Honey Islam is a kombucha brewer and educator. For the past 5 years she has been running Bangalore's first commercial kombucha brand called Mountain Bee Kombucha and educating 100s of fermentation enthusiasts the art of kombucha brewing.
