Talk it out: Mediating at Science Gallery Bengaluru
Interacting with Mediators at Science Gallery Bengaluru was a key part of the visitor experience. Mediators trained with artists and scholars from around the world, engaged with diverse audiences, and contributed to a unique public engagement experiment. Those considering the part-time or full-time Mediator Programmes for Science in the City, the upcoming exhibition-season, were invited to an in-person info session. The Learning team outlined the application process, and current full-time Mediators shared insights into the role and their experiences from the exhibition floor. It was an opportunity to ask questions and understand what it meant to be a Mediator.
About the Mediators
Mediators are an integral part of each exhibition-season at Science Gallery Bengaluru (SGB). By providing each visitor the unique opportunity to deeply engage with our exhibits, events, and programmes, the mediators are at the backbone of our commitment to public engagement at SGB. Having undergone intensive training from a range of artists and scholars each exhibition-season, the mediators are positioned to help each visitor establish a personal relationship with the different themes of the exhibition.
