Fizzy Quizzing

An evening of quizzing and bubbly drinks!

Participants competed to answer questions about the myriad ways in which carbon has shaped the planet, its geography, lifeforms and civilisations. The quiz featured a wide range of characters and subjects, from scientists to superheroes to extinct animals, mythical beings, and even a few cartoon characters!

About the Quizmaster

Berty Ashley is a Molecular Geneticist at Dystrophy Annihilation Research Trust (DART). At DART, he focuses on developing personalised genetic therapies for rare disorders like Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. DART, a parent-run organisation, has the unique ability to create artificial DNA. In 2020, DART became the first organisation in India to receive permission for a genetic therapy clinical trial. Berty eagerly awaits the trial results.

Apart from his research, Berty enjoys attending concerts and participating in quizzes. Berty's love for music is evident as he collects vinyl records and plays guitar, keyboards, and drums in three bands. Quizzing has been a passion since his school days, and Berty has developed his own distinctive style infused with humour and pop-culture references.
