Prabhakar Pachpute's artistic practice delves into the challenging realities of his hometown Chandrapur in Maharashtra, known as 'the city of black gold,' addressing issues of relentless excavation, unequal social development, and land politics. Hailing from a lineage of three generations of mine workers, Pachpute's intricate drawings, animations, and use of charcoal directly connect to his familial roots.
